A Soldier's Last Breath

© By Anonymous

My love for you, it always shows,
and everyday it grows and grows.
Like a rose with gentle parts,
your love unfolds inside my heart.

You give me love, that's always there,
and in return, I showed you care.
I'm leaving to this desert place,
don't worry baby, your soldier's safe.

I'll fight for freedom and the lord above,
but most of all I'll fight for love,
to quickly come and see you soon,
and whisper softly, I love you.

But if i die, someway, somehow,
I'll leave you with this single vow,
I promise you before my death,
I'll call your name with my last breath.
