Together now, as only friends,
waiting on our hearts to mend.
I'm sorry for all of these tears,
but I'm facing my biggest fear.
Losing you would tear me apart,
and its already beginning to start.
You are my world, and my life.
I hate going through all this strife.
I know you're hurting, and you're crying,
and for a long time, you've been lying.
You've finally faced the honest truth,
and it hurts like an aching tooth.
Everything will soon be better.
Just as it says in all my letters.
The pain will slowly drift away,
and begin to ease, each passing day.
So remember that, I do love you,
and I will do all I can do,
to help you get though all of this,
with love, hope, and a gentle kiss.
