Let me start this letter saying thank you. I was at school browsing the internet between classes when I came across an offer to submit poetry. I has never submitted any writing or even considered publishing or copyrighting anything. I come up with poems in my mind about things I am feeling, but almost never write them down. I thought up this poem while sitting at the keyboard, and I didn't really think I would hear anything else about it. When I received your letter along with my poem, it made me feel good to know that someone has accepted me as an artist, and I felt like maybe there were others out there who could relate to my experiences. I think it is amazing how a person's thoughts and words can impact other people. Thank you for allowing me this opportunity.
