The sad quote
says it all by David Weatherford. “We enjoy warmth because we
have been cold. We appreciate light because we have been in
darkness. By the same token, we can experience joy because we
have known sadness. Sad poems give us a sense of inspiration
and hope at times. Everyone has their favorite sad songs,
albums, and sad poems and stories to surround them when they are
down. We learn through sadness that one of the best ways to
overcome the struggles life gives us by counting our blessings
and taking with us the inspirations of other’s sad poetry to
learn from them and apply the lessons in our lives. Sad poems
can be the breaking grounds for improvement of our character and
get us through the hardships we face in life.
POETRY IS THE VOICE OF THE HEART
Sadness, grief and sorrow are emotions we all experience. Poets and writers have long realized how expressing your emotions with words can help in dealing with the pain. To give words to your deepest feelings, to shape your most painful emotions into verse, to release the pain locked in your heart; this is the true power of the poem.
MANY FAMOUS POETS WROTE SAD POEMS
Some of the most famous poets lived sad, dark, depressed lives filled with pain, loneliness, depression and even suicide. These poets were artists who used words to express their painful and sad feelings and share them with the world. These words joined together became poetry, sad poetry filled with their yearnings for relief from their pain. Their unbearable sadness was the catalyst for some of the best poems ever written.

"Each memorable verse of a true poet has two or three times the written content."
~ Alfred de Musset (1810-1857)
"All things grow with time - except grief"
"He that conceals his grief finds no remedy for it"
~ Turkish Prove

Family Poem of the Day
JUBILANT FATHER
His face is like a sun, warms the moon beside him.
She´s grown full; tonight begins the waning.
The tide pulls through her very bones,
her form aches as each wave crests.
The earth pulse, heavy, blood warm within her
Beats new chords, old sun god chants.
"You are the first mother and the last,
all spring flesh has traveled through you."
Aztec plumed and gold beaded,
your priest kneels at the holy alter,
gathers each salt pearl shed, nectar for his sacrament.
You are the temple,
we pilgrims swept through the gates,
bent figures know the scent and petals of your presence,
spread our arms to harvest blossoms,
and your priest, sun struck, kneels beside you.
