Dying in the heat
The heat from within
The burning flame
Shivering
Shaking from the cold
Releasing the toxins
Setting it right once more
Shaking
Hairs upended
Purifying the soul
To remove all the troubles
Weak
Unable to move at all
Pushing to the limit
Too much for one soul to handle
Scratching
Tearing out the skin
An itch from the inside out
Wanting to get to it; impossible to succeed
Falling
Hitting the ground
Violent thud
A broken body
Crying
Silent anguish
Just one day at a time
To break down the barriers of agony
Panting
Breath isn't coming easily
The feel of a thousand bricks
Piled on top of a fragile frame
Dying
No way to win this war
No way to overcome
Detox incomplete.
