JUBILANT FATHER His face is like a sun, warms the moon beside him. She´s grown full; tonight begins the waning. The tide pulls through her very bones, her form aches as each wave crests. The earth pulse, heavy, blood warm within her Beats new chords, old sun god chants. "You are the first mother and the last, all spring flesh has traveled through you." Aztec plumed and gold beaded, your priest kneels at the holy alter, gathers each salt pearl shed, nectar for his sacrament. You are the temple, we pilgrims swept through the gates, bent figures know the scent and petals of your presence, spread our arms to harvest blossoms, and your priest, sun struck, kneels beside you.

Love Poem

The Love. The Life. The Misery. The End

© By Anonymous

The Love
My wife, you are

All the love in my life
Summed into a kaleidoscope

Of endless light and love.
My eyes,

Unable to bear witness to the radiance and beauty
Which is your soul.

My attraction to you,
More than a mere physical lust,

But a need to love you endlessly with no boundaries,
Your beauty,

A reflection of your inner self,
Capable of leaving any creature in awe.

Your unwavering faithfulness
To your chosen love

Never to falter
Even at your weakest hour.

The Life
My life,

Begins and ends with you.
You are my love

And my reason for living.
It starts with a surprise Christmas trip

To prove to you my love,
Turned into a romantic getaway.

And a New Years wedding,
Not quite on New Years day;

The beginning of our eternal vow.
The ending of my military career

To be with you my love.
And starting a new life together.

An overseas trip,
To spend more time with you,

The ultimate show of commitment.
Now the mistake of taking her for granted

And losing something
Which has become more precious than life itself.

Love and trust
The key factors in this relationship

Slowly eroding with time
Maybe never to return?

The Misery
I'm losing the greatest thing in my life

I don't know where to go from here
There's more than a possibility

That I'll lose you forever dear.
Late nights alone

While you're gone away
Wondering what to do to make you stay.

Waking up in cold sweats,
Nightmares haunting my sleep.

I can't help but cry through clenched teeth.
Thinking about my mistakes,

And what I could've done
It's my fault now; she's on the run.

Should have held her tighter,
Should have kissed her more,

Now it's thinking of these things,
That makes my heart sore.

The End
She's might leave me now

And it's all my fault.
I should have done more,

Then everything would be all right.
Who's to say how?

Who's to say when?
It could be over soon,

It could be tonight.
