Chickadee
© By Linda Villars
Boreal forest quietly stands. Dry freezing air hurts. Harsh winter of the north.
But silence is broken with A sudden sound. "Chicka-de-de-dee!" It's a flock of chickadees.
There they are, Hopping and pecking and Singing their song. "Chicka-de-de-dee!"
Small birds stay for a while, Pecking at everything that they Could find. Then they move on, Leaving this valley behind. Like there were never any birds At all.
Boreal forest quietly stands. Dry freezing air hurts. Harsh winter of the north.
