Letter From Sergeant Lore
© By Anonymous
I got scared and opened her mail read a letter that said Dear Mrs. Johanson your only son is dead. He got shot on Friday morning came in from the field at noon sorry we couldnt save him There was nothing else we could do. He fought for your freedom, Died for Americas life, say goodbye to his dad, children and his wife. Angels are keeping him safe, He has a new pair of wings, He's watching you day and night, just see what he will bring. I must go now and fight for you some more. Sincerely, God Bless You Master Sergeant Lore. I put down the letter closed my eyes and cried. No, I couldn't believe it, my older brother died, Should I hide the letter? Or give it to my mother? She can't bear to deal with the death of my brother.
