I Am An American Soldier

I am an American soldier who is called to war
I am an American soldier who wont take terrorism no more

I've done this before
but this time is different

last time was Kuwait
this one happened on my shore

for the blood of my sisters and brothers
for their dads and their mothers

for the husbands and wives left here
for the children we love so dear

I now make this promise to you
I will fight til I die or til the terrorism is through

I am but one man amidst many others
we will fight as one my band of brothers

If before I return I should happen to die
don't ask yourself oh why oh why

Just think of all the others and me
who have now died so you may be FREE.
