Lost love
poems, although hard to express because of conflicting emotions,
help mend the heart after the drama of a break up or a lost
loved one in the hands of death. “Trying to forget someone you
love is like trying to remember someone you never met.” is a
lost love quote that articulates how difficult it can be to let
go of love when it becomes necessary. Lost love poetry can help
us release love when it is no longer there between lovers and
help ease the pain of losing that love we have been so
comfortable with for so long. Lost love poems are found in old
melodies of folk song and modern day lyrics of music today. We
all can say we have sought consolation in song that has lost
love as its theme.
Lost love poems can be a harsh emotional
form of reality. “Ever has it been that love knows not its own
depth until the hour of separation.” Is a lost love quote that
can leave one wondering. Often time one doesn’t realize the
love they have until they loose it.
Romance comes and goes and all
one can do is cope and appreciate what good came from the
relationship. Sad poems about loss
of love can cause depression, but creativity can prevail from
under the stormy clouds of lost love and
sad love sonnets and lost love
poems can rise above the sadness and a sense of romanticism can
be found it.
To many times instances where love has been
found, is transient. In the discovery of love most all too
often realize can be lost, but in doing so many times leave us
with life lessons or unfortunately
depression and heartache. Lost love poems offer an avenue of
conflicting and confusing emotions to break free from one’s mind
and heart.

Love Poem of the Day
LOVE'S GLEANING TIDE
Draw not away thy hands, my love,
With wind alone the branches move,
And though the leaves be scant above
The Autumn shall not shame us.
Say: Let the world wax cold and drear,
What is the worst of all the year
But life, and what can hurt us, dear,
Or death, and who shall blame us?
Ah, when the summer comes again
How shall we say, we sowed in vain?
The root was joy, the stem was pain
The ear a nameless blending.
The root is dead and gone, my love,
The stem's a rod our truth to prove;
The ear is stored for nought to move
Till heaven and earth have ending.
- WILLIAM MORRIS
Quote of the Day

Love moderately; long love doth so; too swift arrives as tardy as too slow.
