The affinity of family is extraordinary and can be expressed in
family poems. To have family is unfortunately not shared by all
and is a treasured gift. They share stories and genealogical
backgrounds many times. Family poetry keeps the memories of a
lost loved one still alive. They
share the emotions and relationship that one has with his or her
family and express the joys and downfalls the family have gone
through.
Good and bad memories of childhood with
one’s relationship their family are expressed in family poems.
Family poems can describe a plethora of subcategories about
abandonment, anniversaries, history,
lost loved ones, and so much more. Personal lives are
brought out into the open to share with the reader.
The inspirational quotes, “Nobody can go
back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and
make a new ending.” Is so true and many times revealed in life
poems. No one person can experience all that life has to offer
meaning in life. One’s reflections of life can offer wisdom and
insight from so many aspects of life. Life poetry expresses
that it provides us with many gifts and we can change anything
and everything in our dealings with life’s tasks and tests given
us.
Wisdom can be said in life and many times
inspiration in many different levels from other’s experiences
can be taken from life poems. It
is not just creative writing but a tool for others and the
writer to learn from life. We can take it to heart and learn
from them and life poems stir up so many thoughts, philosophies,
and emotions. These feelings and new lessons we learn will
hopefully materialize to great feats, building us up in our
journey through life.
His face is like a sun, warms the moon beside him.
She´s grown full; tonight begins the waning.
The tide pulls through her very bones,
her form aches as each wave crests.
The earth pulse, heavy, blood warm within her
Beats new chords, old sun god chants.
"You are the first mother and the last,
all spring flesh has traveled through you."
Aztec plumed and gold beaded,
your priest kneels at the holy alter,
gathers each salt pearl shed, nectar for his sacrament.
You are the temple,
we pilgrims swept through the gates,
bent figures know the scent and petals of your presence,
spread our arms to harvest blossoms,
and your priest, sun struck, kneels beside you.
